Traffic restrictions due to remodelling of central bus stop, 4th construction phase
During the night of 4 to 5 March 2018, the traffic routing will be changed for the implementation of the 4th construction phase for the conversion of the central stop in the Bahnhofstraße area.
From 5 March, the carriageway of Bahnhofstraße will be closed from Falkeplatz in the direction of Zschopauer Straße between Annaberger Straße and Zschopauer Straße. Traffic travelling in this direction will be diverted at the Annaberger Straße and Zschopauer Straße junctions via the Bahnhofstraße carriageway in the direction of Falkeplatz. In this section, the capacity to pass traffic in both directions will be even lower than in the previous 3rd construction phase last autumn. Drivers are advised to avoid this section in the immediate vicinity via Gustav-Freytag-Straße - Ritterstraße, Annenstraße or Theaterstraße or to consider more extensive alternative routes.
The following restrictions must also be observed:
- It is not possible to turn right from Annaberger Straße into Bahnhofstraße
- It is not possible to turn right from Bahnhofstraße into Zschopauer Straße.
The diversion will be via Annenstraße.
- The direct pedestrian crossing at TIETZ via Bahnhofstraße to the central bus stop will not be possible. The Bahnhofstraße can only be crossed at Moritzhof or Zschopauer Straße.
As before, Bretgasse can only be reached from Bahnhofstraße in the direction of Falkeplatz. The Moritzhof underground car park and the Galeria Kaufhof multi-storey car park can be reached from both directions via Bahnhofstraße. The footpath along the TIETZ can be used at a reduced width throughout.
This final construction phase will last from 5 March to 18 May 2018.
