Traffic information for Light Our Vision
Next week, from Wednesday to Saturday, 25 to 28 September, the event Light Our Vision, initiated by Baukultur für Chemnitz e. V., will take place in Chemnitz city centre with various action areas. The following traffic restrictions are necessary for this event:
Closures
On Tuesday, 24 September from 2 pm to 9 pm:
- Brückenstraße between Straße der Nationen and Theaterstraße
On Wednesday and Thursday, 25 and 26 September, from 7 pm to 11 pm:
- Brückenstraße between Straße der Nationen and Theaterstraße
- Käthe-Kollwitz-Straße
On Friday and Saturday, 27 and 28 September, from 7 pm to 11 pm:
- Brückenstraße between Bahnhofstraße and Theaterstraße
- Käthe-Kollwitz-Straße
- Straße der Nationen between Brückenstraße and Richard-Tauber-Straße
- Carolastraße
- Bahnhofstraße between Waisenstraße and Georgstraße (free for public transport)
Stopping restrictions
In order to ensure the safety of the event, the posted stopping restrictions must be observed. In particular, the restrictions on the car park on the station forecourt are to be observed due to technical installations.

Diversion route
It is possible to bypass the traffic closure via:
- Brückenstraße - Straße der Nationen - Georgstraße - Mühlenstraße - Theaterstraße
or
- Theaterstraße - Mühlenstraße - Müllerstraße - Straße der Nationen - August-Bebel-Straße - Dresdner Straße - Waisenstraße - Bahnhofstraße
