Traffic authority informs about full closures during construction work on Bernsdorfer Straße and Annaberger Straße
The city's traffic authority is once again asking road users to be aware of two full road closures in the area of Annaberger Straße and Bernsdorfer Straße announced in the city's latest roadworks information from 2 July:
From Monday, 7 July until 20 November 2014, attention is requested for a necessary full closure on Bernsdorfer Straße in the area between Pappelstraße and Ulbrichtstraße. The reason for this is the realisation of a coordinated construction project in which a sewer is being laid, natural gas and drinking water pipes are being renewed and road construction work is being carried out on behalf of the City of Chemnitz waste disposal company together with the city's civil engineering department and the utility company eins energie in Sachsen GmbH & Co.
The total construction costs invested amount to approx. 1,000,000 euros. The Chemnitz-based company Dietmar Mothes GmbH has been commissioned to carry out the construction work.
During the work, which began with a half-sided lane closure with traffic lights in the construction area on 10 June, a full closure of Bernsdorfer Straße in the construction area will now be necessary from 7 July. Road users will be guided via the signposted diversion via Augsburger Straße, Reichenhainer Straße, Südring and Bernsdorfer Straße. Pedestrians will be guided safely past the construction site.
From Tuesday, 8 July to Friday, 11 July 2014 , Annaberger Straße will be fully closed in the landward direction between Schneeberger Straße and Erfenschlager Straße. The civil engineering department will be carrying out repair work on road inlets (gullies) as well as hydrants and valve caps. The Chemnitz-based company Gunter Hüttner & Co. GmbH has been commissioned to carry out the work.
The signposted diversion leads via Zöblitzer Straße, Schulstraße and Erfenschlager Straße.
