Track construction work leads to obstructions
Annaberger Straße/Bahnhofstraße junction affected from Friday
From Friday 29 July until probably 27 August, traffic obstructions are to be expected on Bahnhofstraße in the Annaberger Straße area. This is due to construction work on the eastern track crossing from Annaberger Straße over Bahnhofstraße by CVAG.
From around 11 a.m., traffic will be routed via the left-turn lane in the direction of Falkeplatz. It will therefore not be possible to turn left from Bahnhofstraße into Annaberger Straße.
In addition, one of the two left-turn lanes on Annaberger Straße in the direction of Falkeplatz will be closed. A diversion via Zschopauer Straße - Ritterstraße - G.-Freytag-Straße will be signposted.
The cycle/pedestrian crossing over Annaberger Straße will be closed from Monday, 1 August; the diversion will be via the next crossing at Moritzstraße.
In addition, from Monday 15 August until Saturday 27 August, Bahnhofstraße will be reduced to one lane in the direction of the railway station and traffic will be diverted past the construction site. From Annaberger Straße, it will only be possible to turn right towards the railway station; turning left towards Falkeplatz is prohibited during this time. A diversion will be signposted via Reichsstraße - Zwickauer Straße.
