Together for a better Internet

Safer Internet Day 2022 campaign week from 7 to 12 February

The Safer Internet Day 2022 (SID 22) campaign week will take place online in Chemnitz from 7 to 12 February. The programme, entitled "Together for a better internet", includes numerous online offers to educate people about sexualised violence in the media, cyberbullying, fake news, etc., as well as child and youth protection online, influencers, law in the digital space and the opportunities offered by Lernsax. Registration takes place locally with the respective organiser. Participation is usually free of charge.

The international Safer Internet Day traditionally takes place every year in February. The SID 22 action week is a co-operation of the "Prevention in a Team" network. This is formed by the Chemnitz State Office for Schools and Education, the Chemnitz Police Headquarters, the Chemnitz City Library, the Municipal Prevention Council of the City of Chemnitz, the solaris youth and environmental workshops, the Saxony Youth Leisure Centre Working Group (AGJF), the City of Chemnitz Children and Youth Officer and media educator Sebastian Steger.

The attractive workshops and information events are aimed at various target groups such as educational staff, parents and children.
