On Thursday, 20 November, from 3 to 6 p.m., representatives of the media are invited to the closing event of the Kreativachse Chemnitz project at Stadtwirtschaft, Jakobstraße 46. The City of Chemnitz and the implementation partner Kreatives Chemnitz e. V. are looking back on three intensive project years with all those involved.
This event marks the end of the Kreativachse Chemnitz project. The federal funding programme Zukunftsfähige Innenstädte und Zentren (ZIZ) supported the development and revitalisation of the Brühl, Straße der Nationen and Sonnenberg districts along the creative axis.
The event will focus on the diverse results and collaborations that have emerged in recent years: from new uses in shops and structural upgrades in public spaces, such as numerous pieces of street furniture, to the "Experimentierküche" and "vectorlab" city labs and many projects supported by the Disposal Fund. All of these have had a lasting impact on the city or promoted initiatives by stakeholders in the neighbourhoods. The most important measures will be presented in short spotlights and their significance for urban development will be explained. After the official part of the event, a finale with snacks, drinks and music will provide an opportunity for dialogue.
Guests include representatives of the City of Chemnitz, funding bodies, stakeholders from business, culture and civil society as well as numerous project partners.
