Third education fair and 15th school theatre week
The third education fair in the city and the 15th Chemnitz School Theatre Week are among the fixed dates in the calendar for pupils, teachers and parents in the new 2012/2013 school year in Chemnitz:
Education Fair: The city of Chemnitz is organising an education fair for the third time in 2012: After the almost overwhelming rush of visitors in each of the past two years, this year's programme will also be expanded in terms of content. It has been shown that parents and children respond well to the information offered by the city and would like to make direct contact with school representatives. For this reason, the city's secondary schools will also be able to publicise themselves at the education fair in 2012 and introduce themselves to pupils in years 3 and 4 and their parents. A new feature this year is that, in addition to the municipal schools, the independent organisations will also be presenting themselves at the education fair.
The third education fair of the city of Chemnitz will take place on Saturday, 24 November 2012 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the foyer of the New Lecture Hall Building of Chemnitz University of Technology, Reichenhainer Straße 90.
School Theatre Week: Planning and preparations for the 15th Chemnitz School Theatre Week have long since begun again, with the City of Chemnitz and Städtisches Theater Chemnitz gGmbH also jointly organising the "15th". The 15th Chemnitz School Theatre Week will be held from 17 to 22 March 2013 and the tender documents were sent out to the schools in July 2012. The jury is now once again looking forward to receiving numerous applications from school theatre groups from schools in Chemnitz and the surrounding area. The closing date for applications is 16 November 2012 and, as in previous years, there will be a jury tour to select the performances that will finally be presented in Chemnitz.
