The world of insects: World Bee Day
Adult Education Centre: Event on 21 May, from 10 a.m., Nature Conservation Centre in the Botanical Garden, Leipziger Straße 147
On Saturday, 21 May, from 10 a.m. to 12.15 p.m., the Chemnitz Adult Education Centre and the Erzgebirge Regional Association for Nature Conservation (NABU) are inviting interested parties to an event that will provide an insight into the world of bees. Ideas for the protection and conservation of bees will be presented at the nature conservation centre in the Botanical Garden, Leipziger Straße 147.
Participation is free of charge. Registration is recommended at www.vhs-chemnitz.de or on
0371 488-4343 is recommended.
On "World Bee Day", bee lovers and those who want to become one can find out about good honey, the keeping of honey bees and their occurrence in Chemnitz. A bee expert will also show how to successfully protect wild bees in your own garden. For all those who want to put the information into practice straight away, there will be a small arts and crafts programme.
It is not only wild bees that are threatened by a lack of habitats. Other insect species are also acutely affected and their populations are endangered.
