"The Voice of Cycling": Eurosport commentator Karsten Migels is the track announcer at the German Championships in road cycling

At the German Road Cycling Championships next weekend in Chemnitz, one of the track commentators' voices will be very familiar to spectators: Karsten Migels, THE voice of cycling, will be commentating on the action on Hartmannstraße. For many years, Migels and his partner Jean-Claude Leclercq have provided expert and entertaining commentary on EUROSPORT broadcasts of the Tour de France and many other cycling races.

Karsten Migels is already looking forward to his assignment at the DM, just one week before the start of the Tour: "For me, the sports city of Chemnitz and the surrounding area is of great importance when it comes to cycling. Whether road or track cycling, many regional and national competitions, including the 1960 World Championships on the Sachsenring, were held here and the public has a high level of expertise in cycling. Chemnitz was also the first city I visited at the beginning of the 1990s after reunification in the former GDR."
