The ‘Schloßberg’ car park is being refurbished

Work will start on 16 September – road closure required until 25 September

From Wednesday 16 September, road damage in the ‘Schloßberg’ car park will be repaired on behalf of the Chemnitz City Transport and Civil Engineering Office. This will involve repairing the drainage system and resurfacing the asphalt, as well as repainting the parking space markings. The work is expected to be completed by 25 September.

To this end, the car park will have to be completely closed. Unfortunately, no alternative parking spaces can be provided whilst the work is underway.
In addition, traffic restrictions are to be expected on Schloßteichstraße between 16 and 25 September. Daily closures of Schloßberg street will also be necessary.

Residents and local residents will be informed in good time by the contractor about the details (refuse collection, recycling bins, access routes, parking spaces).

The Transport and Civil Engineering Office asks all pedestrians and visitors to local establishments to use only the signposted and secured temporary routes. The local restaurants will remain easily accessible via these routes.
