The Schlingel Film Festival’s children’s jury is welcomed

Invitation for journalists: 9 October, 11.00 am, Town Hall, Grüner Salon

On Friday 9 October at 11.00 am, Katrin Günther, the youth coordinator for the City of Chemnitz, will welcome the European Children’s Jury of the Schlingel International Film Festival to the Green Salon at the Town Hall.

Media representatives are invited to attend the photo opportunity.

Following the official welcome, the young guests from six different countries will be treated to lunch in a relaxed atmosphere. Afterwards, they will be given a guided tour of the Town Hall and up the High Tower.

This year, the twelve members of the European Children’s Jury, aged between 11 and 13, come from Poland, the Czech Republic, Slovenia, Austria, Hungary and Germany. The working language of the jury is German, as all the children are sent by German schools or associations promoting the German language.

From 2 to 7 October, the children will watch the films in the festival programme, on which they will then base their decision. After watching around ten films and taking part in the accompanying discussion sessions, they will select the best European children’s film.
