On Monday 6 July, roadworks to resurface the carriageway will begin on Yorckstraße, on the section between Fürstenstraße and Augustusburger Straße. These works are expected to last until 14 August. During this period, one side of the road will be closed.
On this section, which is approximately 320 metres long, some of the road drains will be repaired and the kerbs adjusted in places. Subsequently, the asphalt binder and surface courses will be renewed, as well as the asphalt base course in certain sections.
During the construction work, Yorckstraße will remain open at all times as a one-way street from Augustusburger Straße towards Fürstenstraße. Traffic heading towards Augustusburger Straße will be diverted via Fürstenstraße and Zietenstraße.
Access to the properties will only be possible to a limited extent, depending on the traffic management arrangements and subject to consultation with the construction company. Pedestrian access to the properties will always be guaranteed.
The construction costs amount to approximately 292,000 euros. The company Chemnitzer Verkehrsbau GmbH has been commissioned to carry out the work.
