Excursion to the green spaces around the castle pond on 23 August
The first excursion after the summer break as part of the monthly events of the volunteer nature conservation service will take place on Tuesday, 23 August 2016 and will lead to the green spaces around the castle pond. The meeting point is 5 p.m. at the castle pond on the bridge to the island on Erich-Schmidt-Straße.
Karl Naue, one of the two authors of the forthcoming publication on Chemnitz's woody flora, will present this using specific trees and shrubs at the Schlossteich.
All nature conservation helpers and anyone interested in woody plants are cordially invited to this free event. Sturdy shoes and clothing suitable for the weather are recommended.
