Dr Jürgen Nitsche and Grit Bochmann will present excerpts and outstanding stories from the book and encourage a joint discussion. The presentation will be accompanied by an exhibition of selected illustrations from the book. Afterwards, there will be an opportunity for personal dialogue over a small kosher snack.

The history of the Chemnitz Adult Education Centre is closely linked to the commitment of Jewish doctors, entrepreneurs, lawyers, artists and Jewish intellectuals - especially in the early years from 1909 and during the Weimar Republic. Until National Socialism descended on our country.
The Chemnitz Adult Education Centre has taken the anniversary year "1700 years of Jewish life in Germany" as an opportunity to explore its own history and thus a piece of its identity. The result is the detailed and illustrated work "The Chemnitz Adult Education Centre and its Jewish heritage".
