The carriageway of Albrechtstrasse is being renewed

Start of construction on 31 July - full closure of Albrechtstraße between Mosenstraße and Nürnberger Straße

On Monday, 31 July, construction work will begin on Albrechtstraße in the Sonnenberg district to renew the 175-metre-long carriageway in the section between Mosenstraße and Nürnberger Straße.

On behalf of the City of Chemnitz Traffic and Civil Engineering Department, the asphalt between the kerbs will be renewed over a width of approx. 9.50 metres. In addition, the road inlets will be renovated and the granite paving drainage channel will be repaired in places. The pavements and kerbs will be retained.

The construction work is expected to last until 14 August. During this time, Albrechtstraße will be fully closed in the construction area. Access for emergency and special vehicles is guaranteed. Private traffic can bypass the closed section via Münchner Straße, Augustusburgerstraße and Mosenstraße.

As the car parks in front of house numbers 11 to 25 are also affected by the construction work, residents are asked to park their vehicles outside the construction site for the duration of the work. Once the work has been completed, the car parks will be available again without any changes.

The cost of the construction work amounts to 126,500 euros.
The company Chemnitzer Verkehrsbau GmbH was commissioned to carry out the work.
