Technology installed at the long-distance bus terminal
Work begins on 4 November
On Monday, 4 November, construction work will begin on the technical equipment of the long-distance bus terminal at Chemnitz main station. The work will start in the cordoned-off area and will later be extended to the area under the roof of the Hauptbahnhof Ost entrance.
The Goldbeck company was commissioned to operate the long-distance bus terminal following a public tender. The service also includes the complete technical equipment of the terminal, for example with passenger information displays, a booking system for the transport companies and a video surveillance system. The necessary infrastructure will be installed in the coming weeks. This may involve occasional construction work on areas that have already been constructed. The remote bus terminal is scheduled to go into operation in December 2024.
