Take a seat - 2020!
The new tendering round begins.
Communities create places and places create community - that was the idea behind "Take a seat" last year. And in 2020, Chemnitz2025 is once again calling on people to fill unused areas or squares with their own ideas.
Once again, the aim is to promote projects that use creativity to create new favourite places in Chemnitz and transform small squares, gaps between buildings or brownfield sites into meeting places.
The implementation of the projects should bring together as many people as possible who are committed to creating a beautiful new place in the middle of the district: for urban gardening, playing sports, playing, celebrating, barbecuing, relaxing, meeting friends, tobogganing, splashing around, enjoying art, listening to music, going to the theatre, drinking coffee, learning, building bicycles...
That's why all Chemnitz residents are invited to take a photo of a possible place by 29 February 2020, briefly describe the project idea and send it to the Capital of Culture Office. The most popular proposals will then be selected by online voting and realised in 2020 with our support.
New this year: All applicants will have the opportunity to consult with us in order to clarify in advance under which conditions the projects can be realised, i.e. which legal framework conditions need to be taken into consideration. Simply so that great ideas do not fail due to formalities. If you would like a consultation appointment, please note this in your application.
As in the previous year, a budget of 2025 euros is available per place. A sum that makes personal initiative both possible and necessary. The aim is to realise joint projects that unite many talents.
In 2020, new favourite places in Chemnitz will once again be made possible - some perhaps forever, others only temporarily, but all as a sign for: #2025ZusammenDraussen
