Table tennis tables destroyed in the Heckert area

A massive case of vandalism came to the attention of the City of Chemnitz Parks Department today, Friday: In the public green space on the corner of Chemnitzer Straße and Alfred-Neubert-Straße in the Heckert area, two new table tennis tables were so badly damaged that they are unlikely to be repaired.
The concrete tables were torn from their anchoring, knocked over and broken in the process. They had only been installed around a month ago.
The City of Chemnitz Parks Department is on site with the police; a report has been filed. The amount of damage is still being determined.
