Symposium "Living and loving in Germany"

On Thursday, 20 October, a symposium entitled "Living and loving in Germany - 1001 possibilities?" will take place at Chemnitz Youth Hostel "eins" on Getreidemarkt from 8.30 am.

This symposium was organised by the Working Group for Girls and Young Women together with the Cooperation Association for Sexual Education and the Equal Opportunities Officer of the City of Chemnitz.

The lectures and workshops are aimed in particular at social pedagogues, educators and other professional groups working in the context of gender-specific and/or intercultural youth work.

Johannes Rosenbaum from the Chair of Islamic Studies at the Otto-Friedrich University of Bamberg, for example, will speak about the main features of Islamic sexual ethics, while Özcan Karadeniz from the Association of Binational Families and Partnerships e. V. Leipzig will talk about the question of "Muslim families and partnerships". V. Leipzig will speak on the question of "Muslim men - foreign and dangerous?" and Jeanette Hilger from Chemnitz University of Technology, Department of Intercultural Education, will offer a workshop on the topic of "Flight as an intersectional que(e)rsectional issue".
