Swimming pool opening hours extended
City of Chemnitz offers bad weather alternative during the holidays - Outdoor pools remain open
Due to the persistently poor weather conditions, which are less conducive to a visit to the outdoor pool, the opening hours of Chemnitz's indoor swimming pools will be extended during the last two summer holidays. The Gablenz and Südring swimming pools will also be open:

Explanation
Opening the swimming pools earlier or offering extended summer opening hours is possible this year due to the corona-related closure of the pools until June 2021. During this time, a large part of the maintenance and repair work that normally takes place during the holidays could already be carried out and the "Am Südring" and Gablenz swimming pools can therefore welcome guests again ahead of schedule.
Outdoor pools
The outdoor pools in Gablenz and Wittgensdorf will remain open until 5 September from 11 am to 6 pm.
(If the weather is unsuitable, the pools may close early).
Due to the unfavourable weather forecasts, the Einsiedel outdoor pool will open for the last time this season on Thursday 26 August and will therefore close early to allow for the additional swimming pool openings in the last two weeks of the summer holidays.
