Survey on voluntary work in associations launched

Participation is possible until 17 May

The City of Chemnitz has launched a survey aimed specifically at associations. The aim is to find out whether there is a need for events or offers that support clubs in their voluntary work and, if so, what these needs are. Participation is possible until 17 May via the survey link.

City life is essentially characterised by a large number of active clubs in various fields. The City of Chemnitz is currently examining whether and how an annual, central club presentation under the motto "Volunteering takes centre stage - Chemnitz clubs present themselves" is possible.
The aim is to provide Chemnitz clubs and non-profit organisations with a public platform to present their work, projects and services. The diversity of the Chemnitz association landscape is to be made visible and the recruitment of new members and volunteers actively supported.

The City of Chemnitz already offers various forms of support for associations, e.g. with the Mayor's association dialogues, an association database at www.chemnitz.de/vereine, funding opportunities via the City of Chemnitz's funding guidelines and support from the volunteer centre. In addition, infrastructure and gyms are provided for sports clubs and specific events such as Sportsunited, the Intercultural Weeks and KOSMOS are supported and organised.
