Survey on mobility in Altchemnitz launched

Employees and employers can provide information on how to get to work

Employees and managers of local companies and organisations in Altchemnitz are invited to take part in an online survey on the topic of mobility. The results will be incorporated into a mobility concept that is currently being developed for the Altchemnitz neighbourhood in the area between the railway viaduct and Solbrigstraße.

The questionnaires are available on the City of Chemnitz's participation portal until 31 May and can be accessed via the following links:

For employees: www.mitdenken.sachsen.de/1028719
For employers: www.mitdenken.sachsen.de/1028883

A map outlining the specific area is also available there.

Too many greenhouse gases are still emitted in Chemnitz on the way to work by car or through transport in and between businesses, which pollute the city's climate. If mobility behaviour changes in neighbourhoods with a high proportion of businesses, many of these emissions can be reduced. This is why the mobility concept is being developed, which will integrate the results of the survey as well as transport analyses.

All employees and managers of local companies and organisations are addressed. The results should provide information on the current state of mobility in and around the Altchemnitz neighbourhood and what ideas the respondents themselves have for more sustainable mobility suitable for everyday use in the future.

In a next step, workshops will be held with stakeholders from Altchemnitz companies to analyse the results in greater depth. In this way, measures will be coordinated and developed in close cooperation with local stakeholders.
