Survey on health promotion programmes launched
Office for Health and Prevention asks citizens for their opinion
On Friday, 15 March, the Office for Health and Prevention will launch a survey on its services. The aim is to find out how well known the services of the Office for Health and Prevention are, which ones are used and which ones are still missing from the citizens' point of view.
Participation is possible online. It takes around five minutes to answer the questions. The link is active until 19 May.
The offer can also be used in analogue form. The questionnaires are available at the Office for Health and Prevention, Am Rathaus 8, as well as at all town halls and citizen service centres of the City of Chemnitz.
Background:
As the health authority of the public health service, the Office for Health and Prevention is responsible for tasks relating to health protection and health promotion. It monitors, prevents and looks after the health of the population as a whole, particularly in matters of infection control. One of its best-known tasks is the school entry examination for all pre-school children.
Other services include preventive dental check-ups for children and young people, counselling for chronically ill and disabled people, pregnancy conflict counselling, counselling and support for mentally ill people or their relatives, addiction counselling, hygiene checks in facilities and drinking water checks.
The services offered by the public health department should be known to the people who need them. And also by all those who may use them in the future. Prevention services in particular should be geared towards the needs of the people of Chemnitz.
