Summer school - career guidance
The "Summer School Careers Orientation" starts on 4 August. Pupils in grades 7 to 9 will have the opportunity to make up for lessons in in-depth careers orientation that have been cancelled due to the coronavirus, such as company excursions and student internships. Participation is voluntary and free of charge.
With the cooperation of all network partners of the Initiative Berufsorientierung Chemnitz (IBO), various events on technical, catering and care professions take place in workshops organised by six training providers. The participating pupils are supervised by experienced practical advisors, careers counsellors and trainers.
Dates of the careers guidance summer school:
- Tuesday, 4 August, 9 am to 1 pm: Bildungswerk der Sächsischen Wirtschaft, For metal professions, electrical professions and mechatronics.

- Tuesday 11 August, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.: ASB nursing home Rembrandtstraße For nursing specialist, emergency paramedic, cook.
Please register by 10 August
- Tuesday, 11 August, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.: Chamber of Crafts, workshop rally through the skilled trades.
Please register by 6 August
- Tuesday, 18 August, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.: Solaris youth and environmental workshops, chemical laboratory assistant and exciting discoveries about chemistry and cosmetics.

- Wednesday, 19 August, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.: Verein zur Beruflichen Förderung und Ausbildung e.V. (VBFA), professions related to nutrition and gastronomy - from planning to cashiering.

- Thursday, 20 August, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.: Bildungs-Werkstatt Chemnitz,
Workshop tour for 37 training occupations in industry, trade and services.
