Summer holiday creative tip for young people: Create a work of art and take part in the 2015 JugendKunstTriennale competition
Young people aged 14 to 25 from the cities of Chemnitz, Zwickau, Plauen, Hof and Bayreuth and their surrounding areas can (also) use some time during the summer holidays to get creative and create a work of art to take part in the 2015 YouthArtTriennial competition organised by the Saxon-Bavarian network of cities (PM 229 from 28.04.2014 - www.chemnitz.de). As the city's cultural office in Chemnitz, which is responsible for this, reminds us, the call for entries for the JugendKunstTriennale will run until September this year. The major competition exhibition will be presented from 17 January to 7 February 2015 in the city library in RW 21 in Bayreuth.
Submission deadlines for the competition entries in Chemnitz are 23, 24 and 25 September 2014 from 1 to 5 p.m. at the Haus der Verbände in Chemnitz, Karl-Liebknecht-Straße 19. An expert jury will select the works that will be presented in Bayreuth from the artworks submitted from all participating cities. The jury will also decide on the awarding of prizes: In the age categories from 14 to 18 years and from 19 to 25 years, for example, a total of 4 main prizes of 500 euros each will be awarded. The jury member for Chemnitz is the artist Peggy Albrecht, who herself won a prize in this competition in 1998.
