On Thursday, 12 June at 3 pm, members of the Board of Directors and the Board of Trustees of the "Johanneum" Children and Youth Foundation will meet at the Sachsenallee centre management offices, Thomas-Mann-Platz 1 b, to fill 170 sugar cones together to mark the start of school.
Representatives of the media are invited to attend.
With this campaign, the foundation wants to give disadvantaged children starting school a good start and at the same time celebrate its long-standing commitment to children and young people. This year, the foundation can look back on a 170-year success story. What began with the establishment of a children's home for poor and neglected children by private citizen Carl C. Hübner is now being continued as a municipal foundation.
The project is financed by donations that the "Johanneum" Children and Youth Foundation receives from companies and private individuals.
