Subsidy for "Living Democracy" increased
Democracy conference on 18 May 2016
The Federal Ministry for Family Affairs, Senior Citizens, Women and Youth has increased the grant for the city of Chemnitz for the implementation of the federal programme "Living Democracy" from 55,000 euros to 80,000 euros. This will primarily benefit the external coordination centre of the Network for Cultural and Youth Work - it is to be expanded into a specialist centre and will provide advice to democratically engaged people in civil society.
In connection with the federal programme "Partnerships for Democracy", the Netzwerk für Kultur- und Jugendarbeit e. V. is holding a democracy conference on Wednesday 18 May 2016 at 7 pm in the Altes Heizhaus (Straße der Nationen 62, in the courtyard of the TU Chemnitz). Author Christoph Giesa has been invited to speak on the topic of "How the new right is making inroads into the centre of society - and what society can do about it".
The Netzwerk für Kultur- und Jugendarbeit e.V. invites all interested parties to this event. Admission is free.
The event is funded by the Federal Ministry for Family Affairs, Senior Citizens, Women and Youth through the federal programme "Demokratie Leben".
