"Studi Tuesday" attracts students to the city centre

From Tuesday, 29 July, a new meeting place for students will be launched in Chemnitz city centre with "Studi Tuesday": Restaurateurs along Innere Klosterstraße and Jakobikirchplatz are inviting young people to discover the city centre - with special offers, attractive deals and creative promotions exclusively for students. To kick things off, for example, there will be a free drink with every main course, two cocktails for the price of one or 20 per cent off your favourite dish. The aim is to establish Chemnitz city centre as a lively place for young people to exchange ideas, meet and enjoy themselves.

The "Studi Tuesday" is a joint initiative of the City of Chemnitz's Department of Economic Affairs, the Chemnitz City Initiative, Chemnitz University of Technology and the Rathaus Passage and Rosenhof location coordination organisation with committed restaurateurs. The cooperation underlines the joint commitment of the City of Chemnitz and the stakeholders to increase the attractiveness of the city centre for all age groups and to allow students in particular to actively participate in city life.

Seven catering establishments are already participating with individual offers. The success of "Studi Tuesday" depends on the variety of offers. For this reason, more restaurants, retailers and other city centre stakeholders are invited to take part in the campaign and make Tuesdays a permanent highlight for the young target group in Chemnitz.
