Strategy Committee discusses various structural issues
The Strategy Committee dealt with various structural issues at its meeting yesterday. The agenda included the implementation status of the reorganisation of the cultural sector and the newly formed schools and sports department. Information was also provided on the reorganisation of the Aliens Department, which has been part of the Citizens' Office since the beginning of the year, and on the new structure of the City Regulatory Service. The current vacancies for the positions of Head of Cultural Operations and Head of the Schools and Sports Department were also discussed.
In addition, the members dealt with current issues relating to demographic developments and the associated challenges facing the City of Chemnitz's human resources department. Another topic was the fundamental decision on the allocation and structure of Chemnitz City Marketing, which the City Council will make at its meeting in March.
The Strategy Committee has been dealing with issues relating to the City Administration 2020 project since September 2014, having previously begun this work in a steering group together with representatives of the City Council, the Staff Council and the administration in April 2014. The Strategy Committee will next meet in April.
