Status of the work on Neefestraße
City-side carriageway open from 28 March - full closure of the country-side carriageway
Next week, the work to renew the city-bound carriageway of Neefestraße, including the southern bridge structure and the extension of the single carriageway lane, will be completed.
From Thursday 28 March, the city-bound carriageway of Neefestraße will be open to traffic. Neefestraße will be open to all traffic travelling in the city direction, meaning that the diversion via Zwickauer Straße will no longer be necessary. Access to and from the Im Neefepark road is once again possible via the south ramp and the extended merging lane.
The alternative access route to Neefepark via Tuchschererstraße will remain open.
A new main construction phase (construction phase 3.1) will begin on 28 March and is expected to last until mid-July. Construction work will then switch to the northern bridge structure on the landward carriageway of Neefestraße. This carriageway will then be fully closed and traffic in both directions will be routed via the city-facing carriageway.
Demolition of the northern bridge structure
For the demolition of the northern bridge structure, the road Im Neefepark below the bridge will once again have to be fully closed from Saturday, 6 April, 6 pm to Tuesday, 9 April, 8 pm.
The construction work is on schedule.
