Statement by Lord Mayor Sven Schulze on the subject of childhood vaccinations
Lord Mayor Sven Schulze: "It is very confusing to learn from a press release from the SMS that vaccinations for children are to take place in our health department next Saturday. Our position is that there are to be talks between the experts tomorrow to clarify whether and how they can take place. Such an advance from the ministry is unnecessary and does not contribute to trusting cooperation. Our primary goal is to speed up the vaccination campaign. However, this should be done in an orderly and coordinated manner and give parents and children reliability."
As soon as the plans for child immunisation have been finalised, the city will provide information about the options and times.
