State election: Chemnitz has voted
Ines Saborowski-Richter, Peter Patt and Alexander Dierks enter the Saxon state parliament directly - voter turnout lower than five years ago - district election committee determines final results on Wednesday
Chemnitz has voted: Candidates Ines Saborowski-Richter, Peter Patt and Alexander Dierks received the most votes in the three constituencies in the Saxon state parliamentary elections, making them directly elected representatives in the state parliament.
The list vote result is distributed as follows:

At 47.02 per cent, voter turnout was lower than five years ago. It had been 52.2 per cent for the 2009 state election. A total of 199,942 Chemnitz residents were called to vote this time. Around 24,000 eligible voters had already voted by post in the run-up to the election.

The provisional election results will be finalised at the meeting of the district electoral committee. The committee will meet in public on Wednesday, 3 September at 10 a.m. in consultation room 118 of Chemnitz town hall (Markt 1).
