State directorate confirms supplementary budget - important signal to DFB
The State Directorate has confirmed the supplementary budget bylaws of the City of Chemnitz. This sets the course for the remodelling of the stadium on Gellertstraße.
The supplementary budget, which was approved by Chemnitz City Council on 14 November, lays the budgetary foundations for the conversion of the stadium on Gellertstraße with the city as the developer. The commitment authorisations for borrowing and the corresponding cash flows had to be included in the budget when the city took over the client function from GGG.
"This is a decisive step for the project because it means that the budgetary basis is clear," says Lord Mayor Barbara Ludwig. "At the same time, it is good news for the fans, the club and, above all, an important signal to the DFB."
