The Environment Department of the City of Chemnitz is once again inviting children and young people to take part in the Chemnitz Environment Prize. The environmental prize for children and young people, which is awarded annually by the City of Chemnitz and is endowed with cash prizes ranging from 150 to 300 euros, will once again be awarded in June 2015 on the occasion of "Environment Day".

Projects must include the name and age of the submitter as well as a contact person with telephone number and e-mail address.

The closing date for submissions is 15 April 2015. Entries will be accepted directly at the City of Chemnitz Environmental Office, located at Annaberger Straße 93 (old building) in rooms 317 and 319: City of Chemnitz, Environmental Office, 09106 Chemnitz.

As in previous years, the prizes will be awarded by a jury. "Lupinchen" (photo), the mascot of the Chemnitz Environmental Award, is supported by the companies CVAG, eins energie in sachsen GmbH und Co KG and Südsachsen Wasser GmbH.
