Start of the outdoor pool season
Invitation to the photo session: 28 May, 4 p.m., Gablenz outdoor pool
The outdoor pool season starts this weekend at Chemnitz's outdoor pools. The outdoor pools in Gablenz and Wittgensdorf will open on 30 May. The Einsiedeln outdoor pool will follow on 6 June once the technical repairs have been completed.
To mark the start of the outdoor pool season, representatives of the media are invited to a photo session on Thursday 28 May at 4 pm at the Gablenz outdoor pool.
Visitors must be prepared for the current hygiene regulations. The minimum distance of 1.50 metres from other people must be maintained at all times, both on the sunbathing lawns and in the pools. There are special markings for queues at the entrance, slides, diving platforms and around the catering areas. Employees in the ticket office area are protected behind glass panes. There is also a separate hand sanitiser dispenser in the entrance area and the sanitary facilities are equipped with soap dispensers and paper towels. However, visitors do not need to wear a face mask if the minimum distance of 1.50 metres is maintained.
As an example, a maximum of 1,000 people may be admitted to the Gablenz outdoor pool, which corresponds to around 15 square metres of usable surface area per guest. The pool may be used by approx. 200 people at the same time.
Pictogram boards will be provided in the form of customer stoppers or notices for bathers to explain the regulations. In the sanitary facilities, showers and changing rooms, the minimum distance regulation of 1.50 metres also applies and, as an example, only every second shower or urinal can be used.
In addition, certain contact surfaces such as door handles, railings etc. are disinfected several times a day. The frequency depends on the number of visitors.
The City of Chemnitz asks bathers for their understanding and that they comply with the prescribed hygiene measures.
