Start of the outdoor pool season
On Saturday, 5 June, the open-air swimming season starts at Chemnitz's outdoor pools in Wittgensdorf, Gablenz and Einsiedel. The pools will be open until 5 September.
Opening times at the three outdoor pools
Pre-season - 5 June to 2 July: daily 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
High season - 3 July to 22 August: daily 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Post-season - 23 August to 5 September: daily 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Permitted total number of visitors according to the approved hygiene protection concept (see appendix - user information):

Visitors must comply with the usual hygiene regulations. The minimum distance of 1.50 metres from other people must be maintained at all times, both on the sunbathing lawns and in the pools. There are special queue markings at the entrance, slides, diving platforms and around the catering areas. Employees in the ticket office area are protected behind glass panes. There is also a separate hand sanitiser dispenser in the entrance area and the sanitary facilities are equipped with soap dispensers and paper towels. However, visitors do not need to wear a face mask if they maintain a minimum distance of 1.50 metres.
The City of Chemnitz asks that the prescribed hygiene measures be observed.
Access regulations based on the requirements of the Saxon Corona Protection Ordinance:
Access authorisation (presentation of proof with photo ID)
- Fully vaccinated persons with proof (at least 14 days after the last vaccination)
- Recovered persons with proof
- Persons with proof of a daily negative rapid test (not older than 24 hours, mandatory from 6 years of age)
- Children under 6 years of age without a test, accompanied by an adult.

All objects are possible with QR code registration via the Corona-Warn-App on site via smartphone for access control.
Test options
On fine weather days, mobile testing facilities are offered by external contract partners in front of the outdoor pools to obtain a quick test on site. This additional service is only available on good weather days and can be requested at the respective outdoor pool.
Otherwise, the following test centres are available near the pools:

Despite the extensive rules and regulations, the Chemnitz outdoor pools are looking forward to welcoming many visitors. Please note that due to the access regulations, there may be waiting times in the cash desk area and in the area of the mobile corona test stations on fair weather pool days. We ask for your understanding in this regard.
