Start of preliminary work for Chemnitz model
Traffic restrictions due to tree felling and civil engineering work
On behalf of Verkehrsverbund Mittelsachsen (VMS), the first measures to implement the Chemnitz Model, Stage 2 project on Reichenhainer Straße will begin on Monday, 1 February 2016.
Between Stadlerplatz and Dittesstraße, traffic travelling in the city and country directions will be shifted to the edge of the carriageway. All lanes will remain open, only the parking lane will no longer be available. There are no restrictions on access to neighbouring properties.
Once the construction site has been set up, tree felling will begin on Tuesday, 2 February 2016 and will continue for approximately one week. This will be followed by the construction of the temporary carriageway in the middle of Reichenhainer Straße and the installation of temporary supply lines. This first phase is scheduled for completion on 26 February 2016.
