Start of construction work on two play and leisure facilities postponed
In accordance with the playground concept, the Dorfstraße play and leisure centre in Mittelbach and the Goethering play and leisure centre in Kleinolbersdorf-Altenhain are being renovated or redesigned. The start of construction for both facilities was planned for this week, but due to the weather conditions this is likely to be postponed by around two weeks.
At the Dorfstraße play and leisure centre in Mittelbach, the existing play equipment will be removed and replaced with a play and climbing combination, a playhouse, a double swing and a new double seesaw. The sand play area will also be renovated and added to the play area. The landscape of the play area will be enhanced by planting a large tree and twelve shrubs. The total costs amount to approx. 55,000 euros.
The existing Goethering play and leisure centre in Kleinolbersdorf-Altenhain will be upgraded with a new fitness combination. The measure was agreed with the local council. The landscape of the area will be enhanced by planting three large trees. The total costs amount to approx. 18,000 euros.
The work on both plants will be carried out by the company Gruenbau Ltd. in Bad Schlema. The Bellis Landschaftsplanung office will supervise the construction work in each case.
