Start of construction of the ornamental garden at Klaffenbach moated castle
Construction work began today on the planting of the former rose garden at Klaffenbach moated castle.
In the first stages of the work, the construction site will be set up, the old roses cleared and the soil in the beds replaced. These will then be replanted.
There are no longer optimal growing conditions for roses - as was previously the case - due to the shade provided by large trees. For this reason, the planting has been completely reworked. It is now being realised with shade-tolerant, ground-covering and low-maintenance ornamental foliage perennials.
The planting should be completed by 28 April 2017. Techno-Farm & Service GmbH, Adorf, was commissioned to carry out the work. The costs amount to approx. 6,500 euros.
