Start for fast internet in the west of Chemnitz
Invitation to the press event on 30 April 2021, 10 a.m., Rabenstein Primary School
On Friday, 30 April, the first fully completed Point of Presence (PoP) for the broadband supply in Chemnitz will be handed over to the Managing Director of eins energie in sachsen, Roland Warner, by the State Minister for Economic Affairs, Labour and Transport, Martin Dulig, and the Lord Mayor of the City of Chemnitz, Sven Schulze.
The symbolic commissioning ceremony will take place at 10 a.m. in the gymnasium of the Rabenstein "Hans Carl von Carlowitz" primary school, Trützschlerstraße 10.

Note: As this is a school building, a current certificate of a negative corona test result is required for participation.
The PoP 4 main distribution frame is the centre of the fibre optic connection. It serves as a dial-up node for internet service providers and supplies the west of Chemnitz with broadband. 2,900 addresses can be connected to the high-speed Internet, including Chemnitz schools. eins energie in sachsen will operate the fibre optic network.
In addition to Minister of Economic Affairs Martin Dulig, Lord Mayor Sven Schulze and Managing Director of eins, Roland Warner, Mayor of Construction Michael Stötzer and the Regional Manager of atene KOM, Daniel Knohr, will be available to answer questions.
