Spring festival with seed and plant exchange fair

On Saturday, 28 March, from 1 to 5 p.m., the Museum für Naturkunde Chemnitz invites all interested parties to a spring festival with a seed and plant exchange. There will be a creative afternoon and the opportunity for an inspiring exchange about horticultural successes.

Young and old can let off steam creatively with spring and Easter crafts: Easter nests, blossoming Easter eggs and themed glitter tattoos will be created. Little detectives can embark on a treasure hunt through the permanent exhibition under the motto "Who lays what?". The waste disposal and city cleaning company of the city of Chemnitz (ASR) also invites visitors to experiment. At its station, the focus is on waste utilisation and the bio-cycle. Beekeeper Peter Wagner from Murschnitzer Hof will be offering honey and interesting facts about bees. The city library with its mobile book lending centre will inspire visitors to get creative with their own gardening projects.

Stachelnasen Zwickauer Land e. V. will also be on hand to answer any questions about hedgehogs. If you would like to take a hedgehog home with you, you can make little hedgehogs at the stand. The lecture "Hedgehogs in need - how can we help?" starts at 3 pm. Claudia Huwe-Klug will discuss the special features of dealing with hedgehogs and what everyone should bear in mind.

Home, small and flower pot gardeners are invited to bring seeds and plants to exchange and thus preserve the natural green diversity.
