Spring bloomers are planted
Invitation to the photo session: 13 March, 1.30 pm, Park Am Roten Turm/Stadthallenpark
On Wednesday 13 March at 1.30 pm, representatives of the media are invited to a photo session in the park Am Roten Turm/Stadthallenpark (coordinates 50.83478, 12.92310). The gardeners from the City of Chemnitz Parks Department will be planting the plants in the beds. They planted 10,500 horned violets in five different colours. They complement the ribbon of 3,900 tulips that winds its way across the bed, the bulbs of which were planted in autumn.
The master gardener who planned the planting will be happy to talk to you.
The preparatory work for the spring planting in the city centre is already underway. Over a total area of 488 square metres, the heralds of spring will provide a splash of colour in the public green spaces.
On the Schloßplatz, the ornamental beds with 1,500 pansies in the colours yellow, orange and red will provide a splash of colour.
The cost of the plants is around 4,000 euros. The garden centre Falk Horn from Geringswalde was commissioned to supply the spring bloomers.
