Spring awakening in the city green

Just in time for the end of the spring clean-up, the City of Chemnitz's Parks Department, together with committed associations, invites all interested citizens to join in tomorrow, Saturday 21 April, in the most beautiful spring weather. Volunteers are welcome in Schloßbergpark, where municipal gardeners will be planting the beds in Schloßbergpark. The meeting point is 9 am at the fountain by the Miramar.

From 8 a.m. you can watch municipal craftsmen at work in the park by the Red Tower: Here they will be replacing the bench supports of the "long bench".

The following organisations will be active throughout the city tomorrow with the support of the Parks Department:

  • District Management South: Perennial care in the Morgenleite green corridor at the "Albert Schweitzer Primary School"
  • Rosarium allotment garden association: path construction in the city park
  • Verein Nachhall e.V.: Flemmingstraße - Buswendeschleife, creation of a species-rich flower meadow.
  • Citizens' initiative Reichenbrand: maintenance of the townscape
