Sports festival with Lithuanian Special Olympics participants

On Wednesday, 14 June, from 10 am to 2 pm, all Chemnitz residents are invited to the Richard Hartmann Hall to meet the Special Olympics participants from Lithuania, for whom Chemnitz is the host city. Representatives of the media are also cordially invited. Access to the event is via the athletes' entrance at the car park.
The Special Olympics participants will celebrate a sports festival together with Chemnitz sports clubs. There will be an exciting and varied programme with surprises and famous participants. Among other things, visitors can get an insight into professional breakdancing, drumming, basketball and breathtaking artistic feats. A wide range of sports activities can be tried out for yourself, giving everyone the opportunity to gain a different perspective, learn about each other and also get to know the MotionComposer developed in Chemnitz. A food truck will also be on hand.
This festival is being prepared and accompanied by the Chemnitz Host Town organisation team together with the "Janusz Korczak" and "Am Zeisigwald" special schools, the Terra Nova Campus - the discovery school, the Chemnitz State School for the Blind and Visually Impaired and representatives of adult services.
Numerous pupils from these and many other schools are also expected to attend.
