Speed monitoring system on Dresdner Straße goes into operation
A new speed measurement system from the city of Chemnitz was put into operation today on Dresdner Straße. The new TraffiStar S 330 stationary speed monitoring system is located towards the city centre after the Weißer Weg junction.
The system was calibrated and handed over at the beginning of the week. The speed measurement system is manufactured by Jenoptik ROBOT GmbH.
There are currently ten stationary speed measurement systems in Chemnitz: in addition to the one now in operation, there is one on Neefestraße, one on Leipziger Straße, one on Frankenberger Straße and one in each direction on Südring, Stollberger Straße and Zschopauer Straße. With the so-called red speed cameras, there are currently 18 stationary monitoring systems in Chemnitz.
