Special exhibition: Expressive painting - The world of colours

Museum für Naturkunde Chemnitz shows works by pupils of the TERRA NOVA CAMPUS discovery school

The Museum für Naturkunde Chemnitz is currently showing the special exhibition "Expressive Painting - The World of Colours" together with the TERRA NOVA CAMPUS discovery school. The special works can be seen as an intervention in the existing permanent exhibition and digitally until 3 July 2022.

Euphoria, confidence, fear, happiness, loneliness - one's own feelings often follow a rollercoaster in life. As part of the "Expressive Painting - The World of Colour" project, young people from the TERRA NOVA CAMPUS discovery school expressed their feelings beyond language. Their inner world is reflected in spontaneous paintings created in the atmosphere of the Petrified Forest.

The exhibition can be visited during the museum's opening hours: Mondays and Tuesdays 9 am to 5 pm, closed on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays 9 am to 5 pm, Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays, 10 am to 6 pm. Admission costs 4 euros for adults and 2.50 euros for concessions. Children and young people up to the age of 18 are admitted free of charge.

This measure is co-financed by tax revenue on the basis of the budget approved by the members of the Saxon state parliament.
