Spatial changes in the social welfare office from September
Changes planned for the entrance area
From next Tuesday, there will be spatial changes at the City of Chemnitz Social Welfare Office: from 3 September 2015, the Senior Citizens' and Disability Assistance Department with the Senior Citizens' Social Service can be visited on the ground floor in rooms 008 to 013 of the Annaberger Str. 93 building. Also from 3 September, the insurance office will move to rooms 026 and 026a, which are now also located on the ground floor of the administration building.
The new rooms can be reached via the entrance at Annaberger Str. 93 or via the entrance on the courtyard side at Treffurthstr. 5. The wheelchair-accessible entrance to the Social Welfare Office is also available here.
In the entrance area of the Social Welfare Office building, it may be possible in future to carry out checks on people using hand scanners. As in other authorities, the checks are for the safety of both visitors and employees.
The opening hours of the Social Welfare Office at Annaberger Str. 93 are Monday, Tuesday and Friday from 8.30 am to 12 noon, Thursday from 8.30 am to 12 noon and from 2 pm to 6 pm.
