Sonnenstraße playground gets new climbing equipment
Start of construction on 16 April - opening on Children's Day
On Tuesday, 16 April, work will begin on the playground on Sonnenstraße/Martinstraße. The small playground will receive new play equipment for climbing, swinging and sliding.
As part of the construction work, employees from the Parks Department will also be replacing the fall protection surface.
The small playground should then be ready for children to play again on Children's Day.
The playground on Sonnenstraße/Martinstraße has been a favourite meeting place for children and parents for many years. The old play equipment was dismantled as it was in urgent need of renovation after around 15 years.
The company Proludic GmbH, which is also the manufacturer of the playground equipment, was commissioned to install the new equipment. The costs totalled 50,000 euros.
