Solar roof cadastre for Chemnitz goes online
Cancellation request possible
The city of Chemnitz's solar roof register is due to go online at the beginning of the second quarter of 2015. With just a few clicks, it will then be possible to see whether the roof surface of a building is suitable for a photovoltaic or solar thermal system. Basic information is provided in three economic efficiency levels (three colours) on the suitability of the surface for solar energy use. To obtain more detailed data on the economic viability, you can contact the Chemnitz city administration. They can provide detailed information on the type of solar energy utilisation that is possible, taking into account individual requirements. However, detailed information can only be obtained by the owner of the building or an authorised leaseholder.
Cancellation requests
If owners or authorised leaseholders have concerns about the publication of information on the solar potential of their building, they can have the data relating to their property deleted in writing, stating the address of the property. Cancellation requests should be sent informally to:
