The City of Chemnitz Social Welfare Office invites you to the 4th Carers' Day on Wednesday, 27 November. The event will take place from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. in the ballroom of Klinikum Chemnitz gGmbH (Dresdner Straße 178, 09131 Chemnitz). The topic of this year's event with specialist presentations and discussion is the area of responsibility often assigned to a carer in everyday life, namely housing matters. Carers and social workers, judges and judicial officers as well as landlords are invited.
Pre-registration: Interested members of the public are also welcome to attend the Caregivers' Day - for organisational reasons, please register in advance by calling 0371/488-5080 or sending an email to .
About the carers' day: After the welcome by the acting head of the social welfare office Cornelia Utech, the professional carer Fred Fiedler will speak about the situation of both professional and voluntary carers in Saxony. Afterwards, judicial officer Alexandra Reinhard will provide information on the legal status and scope of action of carers, how to deal with the litter syndrome and eviction protection.
The reason for the thematic focus of the 4th Carers' Day is the fact that the home is often the centre of life for the person being cared for and is therefore subject to special protection. In addition to procuring and maintaining living space for a care recipient, the legal carer is occasionally confronted with particularly complicated situations such as neglect or even littering of living space. The Carers' Day aims to provide information on how carers can help people in such situations, what is acceptable and when professional help is required. The organiser would be delighted if interested participants would like to draw attention to current questions and problems in advance and thus enrich the exchange of experiences and ideas at the 4th Carers' Day - the contact person here is also the care authority at the City of Chemnitz Social Welfare Office, Evelin Rümmler can be contacted on 0371/488-5580 and by email at evelin.ruemmler@stadt-chemnitz.de.
